Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
Topping Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon flour
Easy Coffee Cake Baking Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine salt baking powder, flour and sugar. Use a knife to thoroughly cut your butter into the flour mixture.
- In another bowl beat your egg and add the milk, then add this to the flour mixture and incorporate completely.
- Take a 9 inch non-stick baking pan and lightly coat it with baking spray. Press your dough out evenly into the pan and brush the top with your melted butter.
- Mix your sugar, cinnamon and flour together and use a sieve to spread it evenly over the top of your dough.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until light golden brown.
