Easy Recipe For Funnel Cake
Here’s an easy recipe for funnel cakes on those days when you want to relive your childhood. Nothing brings back happy memories like the taste of this fairground favorite.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 cups milk
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Cooking oil
- Powdered sugar
Tip: For best results use a deep fryer and follow the directions for use that come with it.
Easy Funnel Cake Baking Steps:
- In a large bowl combine baking powder, salt, sugar and flour, beaten eggs milk thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and lump free.
- Heat the oil in your deep fryer to approximately 370 degrees.
- Fill a funnel with batter using a finger to close the end. Holding your hands over the deep fryer, start from the center and release the stream of batter in a circular motion going outward.
- Cook for two and a half minutes or until golden brown, then remove the funnel cake and drain on a paper towel.
- Continue frying and draining your funnel cakes until all the batter is finished.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
